- Confining a partner to their home ; imposing isolation from family , friends . . . etc
- Threatening to kill oneself if the partner ends the relationship
- Obsessive jealousy and possessiveness
- Controlling a partner 's activities
And what is included with sexual abuse ?
- Forcing sex on a partner when he /she is afraid to say no for fear of argument
- Forcing a partner to have unprotected sex
- Using sexually degrading names
- Deliberately causing a partner pain during sex
What exactly is physical abuse ?
- Pushing , shoving , slapping , hitting , pinching , pulling hair , choking , spitting , throwing objects .
- Abandoning a partner in a dangerous place
- Refusing to help a partner during illness
