Doc gave me a pregnancy test

Q)When I went to the doctor I was on my period and my doctor still gave me a pregnancy test anyway (she knew I was on my period). Is there any possible way you Can be pregnant eventhough you have had your period?

A)It is not likely but it is possible especially if the period is unusual in any way, such as if the amount of flow is lesser or greater than normal or if it began at a different time than it was expected. You might have to ask your doctor why she did the test if you have further questions. There might be some other specific reason.
