Dental Services (491-1710):

Dental Services is a full service dental clinic serving the 23,000+ students of CSU and their spouses/companions. Fees are reviewed annually with the goal of setting them at approximately 75-80% of the average prevailing fee in the community --- but many times, our fee may be half that of a specific private practice. The primary benefit of using our clinic, for many students is that you may have our fees charged to your student account! Students who do not have a local dentist are encouraged to contact us for their dental needs. We look forward to meeting you and will make every effort to provide quality, caring service for all your dental needs or referrals to qualified specialists.

Physical Therapy (491-1735):

Located on the lower level of the Hartshorn Health Service, the Physical Therapy Department is staffed by eight physical therapists, seven at the Health Service and one at the Student Recreation Center. Physical therapy is available to all students and departments covered by the university student health fee. Health insurance is not required nor is a physician's referral necessary. The hours of the P. T. Department are 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Dermatology:
  • Minor surgical procedures

Immunization (491-6548):
  • Immunizations are available on a walk in basis (9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday)
  • Tuberculosis testing is available on a walk-in basis (We do not administer TB tests on Thursday).
  • Information and handouts regarding the various immunizations.
Optometry:
  • Appointments with a board certified Optometrist
  • Determination or prescription for glasses
  • Evaluation of muscle function and ability, including glaucoma screening
  • Contact lenses
Orthopedic Clinic:
  • Through Physician Referral
  • Orthopedic Physician consultants for musculoskeletal injuries, fractures, chronic orthopedic conditions
  • Surgical Assessments
Travel Consultation:
  • Information and handouts about safe travel and avoidance of commonly encountered health problems.
  • Prescriptions for medications for prevention or treatment of travel related illnesses such as Malaria and travelers diarrhea.
  • Immunizations to protect travelers against common illnesses.
Children's Clinic (491-1754):
  • Services for children of students
  • Same-day appointments for acute care
  • Well child care
  • Immunizations
Laboratory:
  • Clinical diagnostic testing available with orders from HHS care providers or your doctor.
  • CLIA approved lab staffed with Medical technologists and trained phlebotomists.
  • Same day turnaround for most in house testing - next day for most send-outs.
  • Call for information concerning fax orders, standing orders, and sample collections.
  • Charges are reduced for students.
X-Ray:
  • xRadiology Charges include a technical fee and a professional fee
  • Professional interpretations are performed by Advanced Medical Imaging Consultants.
Health Promotion Services (491-1702):
  • Nutrition Services: One-on-one counseling is available for weight management, eating disorders, sports nutrition, vegetarianism, and special diets for specific medical conditions (such as diabetes). Also, assistance on making healthful and practical nutritional choices is offered.
  • Tobacco Cessation: Whether you have made a decision to quit or are conflicted about quitting, we can help you work through your thoughts. The Tobacco Cessation Program helps you find out where you’re at and meets you there by creating a special program that helps you to conquer addiction.
  • Culture Care Advocate: Integrates health services with campus and community resources to advance the health of all students, while building community and mutual understanding. We also provide opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn about the challenges surrounding cultural diversity.
  • Sexual Health: Provides assistance and referral for difficult sexual issues such as pregnancy and STD testing, sexuality concerns and general health care for men and women. Individual and group consultations are available.
